For this session, I focused on soft lighting to enhance Sophie’s features and create a timeless aesthetic. I used a two-light setup: an octobox for one light and an umbrella for the other, feathered away from Sophie to produce a soft, flattering glow. This technique added depth and dimension to the images, highlighting her natural elegance.
Shooting with the Fujifilm GFX 100 was an easy choice. Its unparalleled image quality allowed me to capture every detail with precision, ensuring Sophie’s portfolio stands out.
We set the tone for the session with a jazz playlist, filling the studio with an easy, rhythmic energy. Over two hours, Sophie flowed through poses as I directed her to bring out her unique expressions and angles. Her professionalism and adaptability shone through, making the shoot both productive and enjoyable.

Portraits with Stephee
Stephee is a musician here in New Yok. We worked together before back in 2023 for my Guilded Glamour project and she was incredible. Now, that I am working on Metropolitans (and have been for quite some time) I was excited to have another session with Stephee. As I continue my deep dive into photographing, not just faces, but also the bodies of my subjects, I find newer ways to highlight the amazing features of the people I work with.

Sophia in Calvin Klein
Sophia and I have worked together before so we wanted to do something different for her modeling portfolio this time around. This is a mix of Calvin Klein ad and intimate portraits. It was important for me to highlight a few major features for Sophia, mainly her beautiful eyes, curl locks, and her incredible figure. Towards the end of the shoot I got out my spay bottle and wet Sophia’s hair and we shot some more wet hair/skin portraits as

Lianna in Studio
Lianna came to my studio in January 2025. She was one of my first shoots in the year and I think we really set a tone for the work that I want to create this year. I am having a lot of fun (and I think the models are too) with these wet hair portraits. The textures and the way people’s hair take to the water create very interesting portraits. I love this set that Lianna and I did in

Portraits with Kathryn
I made these portraits in my South Bronx studio with talented actress, Kathryn Taylor. I wanted these photos to be simple, poetic, and raw.

Chloe on Kodak 100 TMAX
I shot a roll of Ilford FP4 on my Mamiya RZ67 with the lovely Chloe at my South Bronx portrait studio.
